  • 1 cup brown sugar (dark preferred)
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples by washing, peeling, coring, and chopping them into chunks.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, combine apple chunks and water. Cook for 15-20 minutes until softened.
  3. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Stir well to combine.
  4. Blend the mixture using an immersion blender until smooth.
  5. Return to low heat and simmer uncovered for 1-2 hours, stirring occasionally until thickened.
  6. Once cooled, store in clean jars or containers.
