Description

Indulge in a slice of Baklava Cheesecake, where creamy cheesecake meets the nutty, sweet layers of baklava. With its rich flavors and delightful crunch, this dessert is perfect for any celebration or simply a treat for yourself.

  • 8 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts and pistachios mixture)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix chopped nuts, sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until combined.
  3. Layer 8 sheets of phyllo dough in the pan, brushing each with melted butter.
  4. Sprinkle half of the nut mixture on top of the phyllo.
  5. In another bowl, blend cream cheese until smooth. Add sour cream, eggs, lemon juice, and mix until creamy.
  6. Pour half the cheesecake filling over the nut layer. Repeat with more phyllo and nuts, then top with remaining filling.
  7. Finish with additional phyllo layers brushed with butter.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes until golden brown; center should be slightly jiggly.
  9. Cool completely and drizzle with honey before serving.
