Description

Chicken Paprikash is a comforting dish featuring tender chicken simmered in a creamy, paprika-infused sauce. Perfect for family gatherings or cozy dinners, this recipe delivers rich flavors that will have everyone asking for seconds.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients: Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  2. Sear the Chicken: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and sear until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
  3. Sauté Onions and Garlic: In the same skillet, sauté onions until translucent (about 5 minutes), then add garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add Spices and Broth: Stir in paprika, salt, pepper, and chicken broth. Scrape any browned bits from the pan for added flavor. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Creamy Finish: Return the chicken to the pan and mix in sour cream. Simmer gently for about 10 minutes until chicken is cooked through.
  6. Serve: Plate over egg noodles or rice and garnish with fresh parsley.
