Description

Chicken Pita Pockets are a delicious and customizable meal perfect for any occasion. Juicy marinated chicken, fresh veggies, and a creamy yogurt sauce come together in soft pita bread for an irresistible flavor explosion that will have everyone coming back for seconds.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 4 pita breads
  • 2 cups crisp lettuce, chopped
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cup cucumber, sliced
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add chicken breasts to the marinade; cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat; cook marinated chicken for about 6–7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked.
  4. In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt with minced garlic and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Slice cooked chicken into strips. Open pita pockets and fill them with fresh vegetables followed by the chicken.
  6. Drizzle yogurt sauce inside each pocket and serve immediately.
