Description

Classic Tuna Casserole is a nostalgic comfort food that combines creamy tuna, tender egg noodles, and a crunchy cheese topping. This easy-to-make dish brings warmth and satisfaction to any table, perfect for family dinners or gatherings with friends.

  • 8 oz wide egg noodles
  • 2 (5 oz) cans solid white tuna packed in water, drained
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the egg noodles in salted boiling water until al dente, about 7-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, frozen peas, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the cheddar cheese. Mix well.
  3. Fold the cooked noodles into the tuna mixture until fully coated.
  4. Transfer to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix remaining cheddar cheese with breadcrumbs; sprinkle over the casserole.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly around the edges.
