Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup green split peas
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 medium carrots, diced
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups low-sodium vegetable broth
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil. Sauté chopped onion, carrots, and celery for about 5 minutes until softened.
