Instructions

  3. In another bowl, beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy (about three minutes).
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract; mix until fully combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in dark chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, and crushed candy canes.
  6. Scoop tablespoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets about two inches apart; bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft.
